Why is my student's WCPM so high?

The system automatically calculates a preliminary words-per-minute score by dividing the number of words in the passage by the length of the recording. If a student clicks “finish” before they have read the entire passage, the WCPM will be artificially high.

Additionally, when your students skip a line, every word in those lines should be counted as an omission error.
